1 John 4: 20-23 "Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything. Dear friends, if we don't feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence. And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him. And this is his commandment: We must believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he commanded us."
Isn't that wonderful news! That someone is greater than our feelings. God looks beyond our feelings and sees that we stand in Jesus Christ, perfect, guiltless, clean, loved. How often we come to God with the same sins over and over again that we had repented of before. They are washed away, dear friend, they are no more. Ask what you will, if you are living a life of obedience, then you cannot go amiss in your asking. It shall be granted unto you. God is bigger than our feelings. Ephesians 2:8 says "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God." Faith is the gift we are given whereby we are saved, not feelings."
