Psalm 3:5 "I lay down and slept, yet I woke up in safety, for the LORD was watching over me."
There is nothing worse than tossing and turning all night because the mind won't shut down and go to sleep due to worry and fretting about situations we have no control over. There could be a number of reasons this is so. One, there is a mental issue and the mind just will not let go of thinking compulsively in which case a little medication might go a long way. Another is that trusting God is not coming easily. That may be remedied with a little time on our knees before going to sleep. Even our snack time before bed may affect our being able to rest comfortably and finally drift off to sleep. However, we can rest assured that whatever the case, if we are willing to make the needed changes and are known by God our Savior, we can rest in safety at night and wake refreshed and ready for our day.
