Jeremiah 18:4 "But the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over."
A potters hands have a special touch as they mold a clay pot or jar or vase or any number of containers. In our country it is more for looks than for use. But in some eastern cultures molding clay pots and jars are still very much for practical use. The clay in the hands of the expert potter yields to his will and design and becomes everything he wants it to be. That is the same way with the Christian and the Lord. Our lives are molded by the hands of the One who saved us. Eventually we will become all that we are meant to be as a servant of His.
