Matthew 20: 1,2 "For the Kingdom of Heaven is like the landowner who went out early one morning to hire workers for his vineyard. He agreed to pay the normal daily wage and sent them out to work."
Throughout the day the vineyard owner kept returning to the market place and sending more people out to his vineyard to work for him. At the end of the day they all returned back to the vineyard owner for their pay. Lo and behold, he paid them all the same wage. It is so easy to bog this parable down in details about the amounts of pay but if we look at verse one we are reminded, its not about the wage, its about the Kingdom of Heaven. All of us have known notorious people who have wasted their lives but given death bed confessions of faith or come to Christ serving a life sentence in jail. The point is, the landowner is representing the Kingdom of Heaven and the wage is the grace that comes from him which is the same for everyone. No one person gets more grace than another. And no one person receives less grace than another. It is all the same for anyone who comes to Christ at whatever stage of life they are called.
